I know it is only August, but I want to be prepared to do research for the Best possible gloves to use to keep my hands warm, but still be able to fish, put on bait, etc...I have tried latex which just made them colder. Most gloves I have seen are too bulky and too big for my small hands. Thanks for any help. I know our cold is Nothing like up North, but wet hands and cold wind sucks when you are trying to fish!!!

theres your problem gloves suck...get yourself some cuffs, the ones that come up your arm over your coat and only take them off to reel bait etc...wear a pair of neopren gloves inside them(or white cotton ones) and your prepaired for fighting that fish with out freezing to death(you only need to flick one off then) ,they will get a little cold when your working but will get warm again whren you put your cuffs back on......here in northern NL NOBODY wears gloves its just to cold most of the time..only time you can wear gloves is if your riding a snowmobile equiped with hand warmers and even then on nippy days you have to swap them for cuffs...if you dont want to get your cuffs dirty inside take some latex gloves with you to pull over the cotton ones and just pull them off and put on a new pair over before you put on your cuffs...personaly i just have a pair of cuffs just for dirty work and toss the liners in the washing machine....gloves suck.....another way you could go is a trigger mit you know the half cuff half glove one finger 3 finger seperation mit...when your trigger(reeling) finger gets cold you can just stick it in with the other 3........gloves suck lol

Thanks John..However I have never heard of cuffs???Is this something that they only sell up North and where do you suggest I try purchasing some? I have this condition call Raynaud's Syndrom where my fingertips turn white, sometimes even in summer and it sucks sooo bad. Hurts like hell too. I usually just stay indoors and forgo fishing until it is warmer, then I'm like bummed out all winter!!! Thanks agin for all the info!!!

snowmobile mitts i guess you would call them the ones with just the thumb and they come up your arm a bit...most come with a snap in liner you can remove and wash thats the kind you want .....as your hands are small should work great over your gloves

just add a mountie style fur hat and a pair of sorell winter boots you can sleep outdoors all winter lol......I might add the very best possible have a removable beaver lining(warm even when soaking wet) its what the military wear on high artic patrols but they will run you almost 200 bucks and if its not 10 below freezing your hands sweat and you have to take them off now and then to cool for a minute...i have a pair for febuary when its super cold...

WTF dude, that is insane...How did you stay warm???
Vic just called me, he is headed to a lake on an Indian Reservation to camp out for the week end. Plans on catching that world record donkey!!! Hope he does. Any muskie this week for you and Shadow??? No fishing down here, Fay has the water all messed up. Vic said once she leaves the area the fish will all come back and we should be able to slam them.
