I love to ask this question as it affords me the opportunity to determine what type of success my fellow fishermen have and what type of fishing they like.. If you were given the choice of one lure and you must use only that lure for a year...what ould it be?

I don't normally fish for bass unless I am planning on using them for bait but I always have luck on a beaver.
You are the master if you always have luck on a beaver!
HE USED MY BEAVERS SO DONT LISTEN TO ANYTHING HE SAYS!
It doesn't matter whose bass beaver I am using I am saying that is the bait I catch bass on!!!
BEAVER BEAVER BEAVER EVERYTHING EATS A BEAVER!!!!!!!! BASS MUSKY CATFISH WALLEYE PIKE CRAPPIE. THATS JUST WHAT I HAVE CAUGHT WITH THEM.

White or shad double willow spinnerbait. Always works at the home lake. If it's summer and calm all year 'round, then I'd go with a topwater popper. I love watching bass hit them things.
1/2 oz flipping jig. Jigs are the most versatile lure you can throw.
