We've heard a lot of buzz about the "slow death" technique, has anyone tried this and is it as productive as they say.

Apparently there's a special offset hook (side off-set) that makes your worm (night crawler) spin in a wobbly fashion that apparently walleye can't resist.

I'm interested in this technique too.

I'm heading north on Saturday to fish for a week west of Talmoon, MN  on Jessie Lake.  I stay at a great resort and the fish bit last year at this time.  Minnows on a jig in 12 ft. of water between the receding weed line and sharp drop offs an hour before sunset.

Trolling Tail Dancers in 13ft of water seems to be good at anytime of the day and the perch bit like crazy too.  Nice ones!!!

I hope everyone has time to enjoy this time of the year for FALL WALLEYE!!

I just got in from trolling 6' - 8' of water with floating raps after sunset.  2 walleyes : 20 "  and 18 " plus a keeper perch.  They are in the same place as last year.

I tried in 12' before sunset, they must have already been in shallow.
