Hey Hardcores! You guys should check out if you're really hardcore. The magazine is totally free to read. I'm the editor and I would appreciate any feedback!

I'm up to 2 Brown trout, 2 rainbows and 4 suckers so far. Not bad considering the ice isn't quite out on most of the lakes...

Spent 8 1/2 hours in the cold on opening day. Got my mandatory sticks...5 days in...finally got my first fish today - a 17.5" female brown trout followed by a 15" male rainbow. Mmmmm.....dinner!

Opening day is tomorrow here. I'll be at the confluence of the Barton and Willoughby Rivers.

Now is the time to crush everything. When you spawn you eat. Take advantage!

With the winter ice melting away I am on the hunt for good panfishing come April. Any advice as to good spots in the Kitchener/Waterloo area or maybe some good tips on what to look for temp, habitat, etc. I am new to panfish as I have always been a Big Lake fisherman.
