Nice bass fly. I've made similar with polar bear hair. Different colour, of course.

I'm hoping so. I sold this fly yesterday to a fellow from Nova Scotia, but I have others to play with (and sell).

I like that design and that should turn some big fish on

Here's a nice pattern I came up with last week. Boredom spawns creativity lol.

It's tied on a size 10 hook, with a dubbed body and goose biot legs. I used brown, but grey or black would also be good colours. It's about as big around as a silver dollar.

I haven't threw it into the river yet; I keep forgetting to put it into my fly box, which I keep in my vest on the back of my driver's seat in the car. It should either catch some big trout or scare them all away.

Cheerio, all.

Should work Al, Pike are not as fussy as to what you put in front of them as they are as to how you present it. Colder the water the slower the retrieve which means making lighter flies. I am talking the lunkers that is. Small pike will take anything and sometimes jump out of the water to get it.

Stretch,

I've never tried this particular fly on pike, as there are none around here, just pickerel.

It's about 2 1/2 inches long, made of spun caribou hair, with a tail of grey calf tail and bead chain eyes. The hook is a #2 bait hook and it's put together with kevlar thread.

As well as this panfish fly, I've also made catfish, goldfish and tropical fish hahaha. It's basically just a modified bomber. Spun hair allows you to be real creative.

So do you think this would get a pike? Take it easy,

Al.
