Hi everyone, has anyone heard about this? Word is that the landowner who owns Old Marina Restaurant and the adjacent property is not letting anyone use it to access Puslinch this winter. This is bad news, because for some reason, officials haven't…Continue

Comment by Jeff Hahn on April 3, 2009 at 7:08pm Its very quiet on here, I guess we have all bin fillin our time chasin bass instead of chattin on here, I have anyways! havent been to the grand after them yet but i'll be over the weekend after next. i've bin slaying them here in bronte, just in the little creek here. its fairly shallow (6' in the deepest holes) and it gets loadsa angling pressure because its in a built up area.
I've found a honey hole tho, there is a long island and you can't get down the bank on the far side and theres a waist deep wade through loadsa silty crap and then a hack through 7' tall thistles and bush.
I see so many fishermen fishing in the same spots with no decent fish and have never seen anyone wade throgh the bush and crap to get to "my island" and i'm sooooo glad. all the fish are there! there is a tree down and it is full of aggresive smallies, the biggest I've had yet was just over 4lbs and I caught 3 of them that size in an hour. when they are on I get an average of 3 fish every 5 casts, not bad for a small over fished stream (can't wait for the salmon run!!).
Its a great way to learn, its my first ever bass season and i'm self teaching, hot baits for me have been 5"weightless senkos and yum tubes rigged texas stylee with a sliding worm weight and a bead, man they just slam these baits so hard on the drop its unbelievable!
C'mon guys lets have some grand updates.
