Just wanted to update everyone on the latest post over on my blog. Read about the chances of catching a fish that is older than you are.

First of all, let me state the obvious. You will need to bring your own rock. It is crowded down that way, but, everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Water temperature is (44) degrees as of today and running clear. Catch rates have been pretty good with one Steelhead hooked per every (6) man hours of fishing. So it is the place to go right now! Technique wise I really can't offer a whole lot since I know they are drifting Helgies with small corkies. Might try Black Marabou jigs fished the same way. Just a hunch. Thanks for the question and let us know here how you do that weekend.

Hello Kevin - Thanks for becoming a member of Idaho Fishin' Talk. When are you planning on fishing the Salmon River? I see from checking out your page that you like to fish. Will you be fly fishing or drifting bait or jigs or something of that nature? Do you know where on the Salmon you want to fish or are you open for suggestions? If you will give me some parameters, I will try and get you some tips.

Have posted a video over on my blog from Trout Unlimited. Speaks to the fishing on the Teton River in Idaho and rather to rebuild the Teton Dam which has failed once before many years ago with tragic results. Check it out!

Hi Mel,
We are headed into what I think is the best time of year to fish the South Fork of the Snake River. Get the Rapal's out and lets go.
