Bass Fish in all Forms

Bass come in many forms, but there is no mistaking the feeling one gets when you set hook into one of these badboys of the fishing world. Come one and all, no matter if you are into tournament bass, trophy bass, or just plain old recreational bass fishing, this group is for you. Below are some of the more common bass types...

When talking about tournament fishing, most clubs, leagues, trails or tours will only count bass which are actually not in the bass family, but in the sunfish family. They are also referred to as "Black Bass." They include the Largemouth, the Smallmouth and the Spotted Bass. Some tournaments may allow others, but these are the primary species. Take a look below...

Remember, Always release your catch...

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has a great program called TrophyCatch that promotes catching, documenting and releasing largemouth bass over 8 lbs. in Florida. Anyone can register and is automatically entered into a drawing for a Phoenix Bass Boat powered by mercury. Then if you document catching and releasing bass over 8 pounds you get prizes like $50 gift cards from Bass Pro Shops and special recognition. Share this link with your friends and check out their FaceBook and YouTubechannels too.
