I have 3 vehichles, so there will $15.00 more for the parks :) I do hope they stay open.. It is always sad to see parks cloing.. My family was devistated when they had closed Central Ferry and then Lyons Ferry, both now privately ran. Central ferry is just not the same, but we still go back to Lyons all the time..

Regarding the parks, they are not going to be closed provided voluntary donations to cover cost can keep them open. You can donate when you renew your car tabs $5.00. I have three vehicles and a boat so I will gladly be donating $20.00.

Ok, so I have lived in the Okanogan Valley for a couple years now, but I am clueless to some good pan fish and bass holes. I normally fish the snake around Palouse Falls, at Lyon's Ferry, but if anyone knows of some good shore fishing around Okanogan and such I would greatly appreciate it...

Also those possible park closers.. OUCH! I know both of those are always busy. You have to make a reservation basically New Years Day.. What are they thinking?? I drive by there all the time and its crazy busy.....

I recieved an e-mail from Annie Meseberg of Mardon Resort at Potholes the other day. Please read. They need help...your help.

Potential State Park Closures!!!!!
Please Forward

As part of the state budget crunch the Washington State Parks are suggesting closing 2 Grant County State Parks:

1. Sun Lakes Park north of Ephrata

2. Potholes State Park on Potholes Reservoir

Potholes is our MarDon Resort neighbor and is a very busy park. I cannot personally speak to how busy the Sun Lakes Park is but I know that Potholes has a good visitor count. Plus, the Bureau of Reclamation just recently spent over $1,000,000 to build a new boat launch system for Potholes State Park.

Please help us keep the park open for the economic benefit of our area as well as a beautiful park that provides both day-use and overnight recreational use for all of us in the state.
