So my dream came true and instead of just fishing walleye for fun, I get to live the dream now managing a top 10 trophy walleye lake in Ontario! Watch out boys, opener is around the corner and I am determined to make it count this year! :)

So the season is starting off strong up here in Northern Ontario!  Our guests are well on the way to beating our last year trophy record count of 595 entries to OFAH!  This year we have already hit 86 trophies and the average being 27.5" for our walleye!  Lets see if anybody out here can beat the camp recort of a 34.5" this year!!!

I like catching those 14" to 19" inchers and let the others go.  The taste is better, and I feel good about allowing the egg layers to continue improving the lake!

Yeah they are fun! they are not the most aggressive of fish but nice to bring them in and put on the cutting board haha.. The bigger ones look nice but arent the best eating.. To get the true walleye taste the mid sized ones in my opinion are the best
