Where do you fish? 9 Replies

I'm up at Castle Rock Flowage.... Good Stripped bass and a lot of Crappie and Walleye. A lot of fun and never a time where I haven't caught something. It's right by Petenwell Lake and only 30 min. North of the Wisconsin Dells.

Any ice reports yet? I am itching to go out. So far I hear there is up to two inches in northern wisconsin, but not enough to walk out on around here.

For your viewing enjoyment, I attached my biggest pike of last winter: out of Lake Kegonsa.

The ice is here. There are some hardcore guys on madison's triangle. Stoughton ditches is a great place to fish during the winter.

Hey all you Wisconsin folks, check out the latest issue of SimplyFishingMagazine.com for a great article called "Dancing with Trout," by Len Harris. It's interactive and the best part is, it's always free! Click here to read the new issue!

Hello, my name is Brett and live in Trevor, WI, by Silver Lake outside of Kenosha, WI. I am from NC originally and am trying to find some fishing buddys and/or some economically/fair priced guides for good sport fishing on any lake in WI. I would love to find some trout, but hear it is rare here. I love fishing, so any game fish is great for me. If you, or if you know someone who fits this request, please email me at bwtmf1967@yahoo.com to see what we can put together. Thanks everyone.

Caleb,

We started the season hunting for some walleyes, caught a few but the bite wasn't really on, we started fishing for muskies at around 4 am opening day and didn't leave until 9 pm, my body has never felt so worn out ever. Everyone in my fishing circle caught one opening day, it took me 3 days before I got one and then it was almost a fish everyday or every other day. I don't want to jinx it but last year I caught 16 fish all season, this year I have 8 in the month of May all from shore. Lets hope it keeps up.

I just got off a 4 day drought, we moved at least 10 fish yesterday and got a total of 3 to commit long enough to get them in the net. Here is the one I got yesterday to break the drought.
