Trout in California Rivers

Perhaps I am an iddiot, but I spent most of my life fishing for trout in every river and stream I could possibly get too, from the Western and Eastern Sierras, even in little bitty creeks like Trabucco in southern california, but why is it that…Continue

Gotta love October for trout fishing. Went fishing today and Saturday at Lake Chabot and caught my limit within an hour both times. They all came off the 1/2 ounce Flashy times spoon from Bass Pro Shops. Give that lure a try. It has a lot of flash and wobble to it. It's my go to lure for trout.

Went out yesterday to the delta the fishing was outstanding bass after bass after bass. we caught like 20 bass all good size and we caught one monster fish. the only problem wen fishing the delta is you need a boat and some sort of guide or person who knows how to fish it.

The delta is a weird place to fish but if you want a guide call rus snyders he is a super nice guy and one the best fisherman i know. he even provides with high quality rods and tackle and takes you out on a boat. thats who i went with and he also does stripers too im going with him in october. if you want to go on a trip with him I reccomend it.

Here's his website www.russnyders.com - the prices and how to contact him is on there and if you dont feel the prices are right ask him for a bit of discount.

That's what he did for me.and on youtube he has videos of him fishing and it shows how good of a fisherman he is.

Me and my buddy went on a backpacking trip to Coit Lake in Henry Coe State Park. The fishing was nuts! We caught 76 fish! Mostly crappie, and some bass and green sunfish. It's a kind of a tough hike to get there, especially if you're carrying a 40+ pound pack but it's well worth the trip. Too bad there closing the place down because of the budget crisis. I wanted to try Mississippi Lake next spring. I heard the bass fishing there is outstanding, but i guess that's not gonna happen now :(
