Walleye,Northern Pike,SM bass,LM bass,Musky and getting in to some Lake Trout this year
I'm a middle aged Truck driver who would spend every spare waking moment dropping a line in the water. Bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work., My faverite spots are Lake Nipissing and drag Lake in the haliburton area.
caught a panful yesterday too, Dave, a decent 40cm Soldier Croaker (like a baby walleye) and half a dozen Northern Whiting.....Sillago ciliata, you have NOTHIN' like em over there. will try to post some more pix from the laptop later, its a year since I posted anything LOL
Hey...I fish mostly in the Manitoba area but I am planning some fishing trips to Ontario this summer. I think they will be mostly weekend trips to some camp sites. Any good campgrounds or lakes I should check out?????
Hey Dave, sorry i didn't get back to you sooner, i bin away. the salmon run has started here in bronte, they havent been getting huge numbers just the odd one here and there, it should pick up a lot more when the temp drops slightly and we get some rain (a fair few came out the weekend before last after the rain, and i chatted to some guys who spent 10hrs there over fri and sat this long wekend and no fish came out!) so head down when it rains next or at least when the temp has dropped a little, glow in the dark little cleos work good (i've only tried for the salmon once for 2 hrs last year and hooked 3 on cleos!) as do spawn sacks or marshmallows if you wanna fish bait.
