Hi, I’m Erik Luzak.

Here's a little bit about me, so I don't feel like a stranger.

I grew up in the kawartha Lakes area in Central Ontario and loved fishing from the first day I could walk. in fact, I have been fishing bass tournaments since I was 12 years old. I Joined the Lindsay Bassmasters in 1999 and started working hard every summer, all summer long, spending countless hours on the water learning as much as I could about fishing in every condition with numerous techniques. My Favorite lake to fish is Balsam Lake in the Kawarthas.

In 2001, I started to educate others how to catch fish by writing an article called “Ask Erik” in a magazine called “Venture Outdoors”. I continued to hone my fishing skills and fishing as many bass tournaments as I could. I was the 2004 Lindsay Bassmasters Angler of the year and the 2005 CSFL (Canadian Sport Fishing League) Rookie of the Year.

To date, I have had over 25 top ten finishes including several victories. In 2005 I started my own business - Bass Class Professional Fishing School.

Being a fishing instructor has been a fun, successful and rewarding experience and is now entering its fourth season. The best thing about my business is that not only I’m I teaching my clients proven techniques everyday but I'm also learning new things myself. I often say, “The best part about fishing is that you can never stop learning”.

I hope that my many years experience in fishing and educating others will not only make getREELed the most exciting online video series but an educational one too.
