I am an avid fly fisherwoman who even ties her own flies. I used to belong to the local fly tying club but due to illness have been unable to tie for a while. I have MS and possibly fibromyalgia but I am not going to let that stop me from doing the thing I love most...fly fishing!
fabulous pics, and wow, love the areas you fish! We love northern Ontario, and will reteire there someday.
MS, is a wicked disease, and I just want to say, good for you for not giving up and living life to the fullest!
Fish on my new friend, and tightlines! God bless you!
Yes, you are right, just some bad grammer on my part. Saw your pic's , got some nice fish in some real nice settings. I hope to get out there this Fall/Winter to work. My older brother( Big Gene) is working in Calgary now. Oh' , just for the record, I'm 100% baby, EH ! ha ha. Have a good fish.

Theres a Fall fishery on the humber so you still will be able to get some fishing in...not only that ,shouldnt be very many people around then ,youll have some great fishing(its when the Big ones are there they say google it, get your blood pumping lol)...let me know how it goes up there..Ill be on the hills in september better part of october
Yup you sure can.. casch rapids is not far from there just drive across the bridge take a right thru reid vile..your probably 10 15 min to there from deer lake ..also big falls(across the bridge to cormack exit roughly10 km on right, then just follow Big Falls park signs) the more famous part of the humber that people fish is upstream probably 20 min drive,,.....you can also fish right in front of the power house right in deer lake..although Big falls is the best close place I know of there...your right smack dab where ya want to be on the humber lol...theres awsome places farther up river but youll have to find someone to take you there...your just 2 hrs from the rivers down my way as well....I would fish big falls if I was you for sure...at the very least go for a look bring your rod you wont be able to resist , you see the big boys jumping the falls there like crazy...they say thats what helps give the humber its big fish the genitic selection the falls helps select,it takes a big strong fish to jump it...youll enjoy Deer Lake Im sure
Just got back tonight from 10 days of rainbow fishing and it was awesome! We got our limit every day and even though the weather sucked...we still had a great time! If it was too nasty to fish we would go "Moose Hunting" with our camera's and even though we didn't find any moose we found lots of other wildlife including a baby black bear and it's mama...we didn't stick around and neither did they he he he!
2 hours from Deer lake but its thru Gros Mourn park so the drive is spectacular(3 hrs corner brook) portland creek river is on the way about hour half from deer lake branch you might want to make full morning out of the drive and enjoy it...make an afternoon out of it on the way back and stop to see things you didnt on the way up...
