About Me
A born and raised Canadian, coming off the farm it was natural to be involved with fishing and hunting. I grew up spending the summers on the banks of the Whitemouth river in a small town called Hadashville in Manitoba. Fishing for Northerns and Walleye was just as much a pass time as it was a means to get a great meal. Farming became a summer job and after almost 25 years of city life I was by fluke, reintroduced to my roots and became a fishing and hunting guide in Northwestern Ontario. It didn't take long to realize this was how I wanted to spend the rest of my life so after a successful career guiding, I bought a fishing and hunting resort on Eagle Lake, ON. Now I have the pleasure of raising 4 year old twin girls and a 2 year old son on the water in the wilderness with my wife Sharleen...

That does sound like a lot of fun!!! I am always for getting more women opened up to the idea of fishing...and there is no better place than Canadian waters to show them that it is fun, exciting, and super GLAM!!! LOL...send me some more information, if you don't mind, to fisherbabestaff@fisherbabe.com and be sure to visit my actual blog www.fisherbabe.com

Hi Gordi I sure miss the trips me and my wife used to take to fish and eat at your lodge. We always came up with Jake & Kathy Moser. Sometimes I would bring my sons. Kathy and Jakes health hasn't been good and as far as that goes my wife and myself either. I sure hope things are going good for you and your family since you bought the Lodge from Gale & Jim.

Hi Gordon,

How is the fishing this year? I am hoping to head up to your lodge either late this summer or early fall, is it possible for you to send me some information?

Thanks

Josh

So happens those two you mentioned are among my favorites, so I'm covered either way! You Canadians get it right when it comes to beer, hockey....and fishing.

Gord, do you know the limitations for beer/liquor far as coming across the border to your country? Seemed like before it was one case per person.....
Thanks,
Jeff

HI Gordon

You are right. Actually I labeled it incorrectly. This was taken at a park just north of Belleville. The occasion was the very first Kiwanis derby 28 years ago

We know it won't be this season....and we will have to find family to take care of the critters and Mother and we are still working on the fly verses drive thing (I have a big fear of flying, once was enough) and Brian needs to work out some things so we just don't know what to do first. We can't set a date or make any plans until we know what we have taken care of at this end. If we would have to board the horses and other critters out we wouldn't have the money to take the vacation. That's why we have not gone since 1986. Our vacation is a trip on the boat fishing once or twice a week to the Reservoir of choice or the trout stream and woo hoo were good to go. Sorry I can't give you more than that at this time. We don't have to come in the summer it could be the spring or the fall. Any time on the water is a good time.
