Record Largemouth Bass
anything else that puts up a great fight
Where are you from?
Since the age of 4, has fished for bass from California to Florida. Fished in ABA and FOCAS bass tournamanents, but primarily considered a fisheries expert and conservationist with his efforts with the Lake Tishomingo Anglers, his writing, articles, and other endeavors.
Primarily, a "big bass" hunter, Jason is content going for the one trophy fish in the lake and ignoring the rest.
Guided on Crab Orchard Lake in Carbondale, Illinois back in the early 1990s. Guides intermittently on private and small impoundments.
Married to the resident fisheries biologist, Jason enjoys watching and growing the big ones as much as he does catching them.
Recently, his adventures have taken him to Florida to land a giant tarpon and to Tasmania, Australia, where he caught his own record brown trout.
Although he would love to catch the world record bass, his adventures focus on sharing the love of fishing with others, including his children, and writing about the "near misses."
