The lodge we we were in was called Cascade Camps, LTD. It was on the northern tip of Rainy Lake.

39 out of 50 is a damn good ratio. I only hope that I'll be able to travel that much once I'm out of school and do some fishing. I've fished in Hawaii, Alaska, Georgia, and a few other states, but my favorite spot thus far has been Canada. Found a great camp just across the boarder and fishing was second to none.

I don't know about that Illini stuff.....I'm a Huskie at heart. I just started fishing Shabbona this year and haven't had any luck. Went out twice when the water was still a bit cold, and haven't been back since.

Where do you travel to for work?

It's always nice to hear from some fellow IL anglers.

Do you ever get a chance to fish Shabbona Lake, Heidecke Lake or LaSalle Lake?

Hi Joe, thanks for the compliment, that's a pretty nice fish you got there yourself!! I'm guessing from Matt Jensen's comments that it is a Pike! LOL. Never been Pike fishing but from your pic, sure looks like fun. Have you ever fished Trinity Lake North of Redding? I just got back from a 2 day club tournament. What a blast! Topwater bite was ON this morning and my boater and I probably landed 20 bass and had 30 blow ups in an hour! Nothing huge but you gotta love that topwater bite.. !! Cathy
