We got them up here on the great lakes, they "adapt" to their environment, but those are some ugly things!!!! It is possible that they are not, but i have seen many shapes of them. The DNR up here frowns on people releasing them, so most people feed them to the sea gulls, or put them in their gardens for fertilizer.
