I couldn't wait for the trout opener

Saw some nice 8 inch brookies, but never had a chance at them. One false movement and they were gone. I snuck up to a nice pool of water and casted my panther martin in and ended up catching 3 brook trout 4-6 inches long. Trout season opener March 29th

Heading downstate to lancaster county for opening day of trout. Did some trout fishing over spring break for natives in the segloch. Caught 3 or 4 brown trout a day no bigger than 6 in hah. Just laid out $150 at Walmart for new lures and hooks. Put some new Stren Super Braid on my reel. Going to meet up with the guys opening morning at the Hammer Creek and then switch over to Lititz Run in the afternoon. Can't wait!

Nate, I'm in western PA. Good to hear from someone from the east. I fished Buffulo on the opener, and DH before. Had 7 fish by 10am, saved 3 for lunch with my wife in bed. Just joined, so I'll be added to my page. My son AlexD got me started. Check out his page.
