Isn't saddie hollow a wonderful place.. Try trolling micro crank baits behind a canoe or kayak with a split shot 18 in. up the line .I suggest using a yozuri Pins minnow or yozuri Bean snapper or rappala 01 countdown . You will be amazed at your success.you'll catch monster bluegills, big crappies and big trout .Troll around point by big pine trees and right down center of lake .trout will come out of no where just to kill the baits!!! Cast shore lines for bluegills early and late in day for the big ones also don't be affraid to virtical jig the deep water for walleye thats right ! walleye. i've seen some hogs come out of this small man made lake . well got to go good luck on your next adventure!!! Hope these tid bits give you luck. later . uncle butterpaws aka Dean

Hello there Uncle Pat. Next week-end I am taking the kids fishing and its going to be from a boat. They are going to love it. So am I. Its been a while since I fished from a boat. I'll try some deep water jigging and see what I can get. I'll keep you posted.

So you do fishing the old fashion way? That is lost nowadays. I fish from shore and hope for the best. I do cover alot of structure like rocks, docks and hanging branches from trees. Lilly pads are great from the shore also. Just the other day, even though I did not catch it, something went after my topwater frog. That was exciting.

Hey there Uncle Pat....I always have a small box in the trunk that suits my needs for the usual fixings of hooks, sinkers, bobbers, and a couple of small lures. The kids just love the fact that they are always ready for fishing.......How do with you by the way?

Hey there Uncle Pat...thanks for the tip. I should have thought of that but I wanted to get the kids fishing again. I guess we did not fish at all after that. Keep in touch will ya?

Rod building is a lot of fun and very rewarding. Replacing a grip and reel seat was exactly how I got into it.
