Well, sunday morning me and my buddy made our way out to one of my favorite pits. We actually made it there without incident. Last weekend, when i was heading out fishing, i blew the bearings out on my trailor. Anyhow, i would rather forget that night mare! So i invested in two dozen shiners. I almost had to take out a loan to do it. Fifteen dollars a doz. Gotta be kidding me. I have been catching some lunker bass the past few weeks. Three bass over seven pounds off senko's. So i figured… Continue

This past weekend was a good one on the water!

I have been promising my 12yr. old nephew Dalton, that i would take him fishing forever. Well this past weekend i got the chance to take him. I was really hoping the fish would be biting. I had been braging to him about the pits that i fish. So i didnt want to look like a liar. So anyway, we got out there around the time the sun was comin up. The first hour went by and no bites. I was changin my bait every couple of casts. Which is totally unlike me. Before i knew it we had half the pit fished… Continue

My friend and I were thinking about coming out east to do some Phosphate pit fishing, we only have an aluminum john boat with a trolling motor. can you recommend a good pit in the range of 100-150 acres that is free or not too expensive?

ok, Thank you, Good luck on your tourney! Let me know how you did. And I'll be wanting to fish one or two days there so I'll rent a boat from someplace. Thanks for the tip on the shiners.

I didn't mean that at you, I was just saying that I hear the stories but no one around here has a picture or a mount or anything. I catch the biggest and meanest in my area, but i am dying to break that 10lb mark. I fish this spot next to my house that is on a golf course, and the fish per hour ratio is exellent. I need to find a lunker, and i don't think this pond has um. 7.3 is the best i have caught. I fish top of the morning and bottom of the evening because the golfers are out everyday. Sorry if I sounded harsh, people get me wrong all the time LOL

I don't know, a lot of people claim to catch the trophy bass but I have never seen proof. Not doubting that you have caught them but if you know where and how, I would gladly accompany you. The best my waters have to offer is 7lbs. That chunky bass that is my default is 6lb 08oz. I only dream of the day to land a lunker! I fish everyday, but i'm stuck on the shore (go figure).

Thanks for the add Chad. I have udated the picture of that Smallie with what he weighed at. Had he weighed him when he caught him he may have pushed the AZ State Record (thats what the taxedermist says anyway). Looks like you have some nice pics of those Fla. Bass. Very Nice. Take care.
