Thanks so much for the well wishes, I've caught a really nice redfish since moving here, (and other dinks...) and I have lots more snook calling my name. I can't wait to catch more!!

Bohemia is so close to the freshwater spot on Long Island, Connetquot. It was just written up in a paper I got my hands on down in Florida (thanks Grande Tours and )
Well maintained, great big Rainbows and Browns, with the occasional native Brookie. Call and make a reservation and make sure to have a NY licence or receipt in hand. Otherwise try the southern outlet of the Conney, on the other side of Sunrise Highway, that brackish water holds Stripers, and sometimes Shad. As anywhere, moving water is best, sunset and sunrise is ideal, and the big ones are usually caught late night. You might also want to try the flats in the Inlet, there are some nice shallow holding spots, and the drop offs are where the fish ususally are. Snook and Stripers like the same structure, so you'll be successful if you apply what you know from down south to the salt up here.
I'll be at Orvis in Greenvale the next couple weeks, so if you fly fish stop in for some flies, or call up and let us know how you do during your visit, we're always happy for a report!
Good Luck and enjoy your visit!

Thanks for checking out that article. Love the photo of the silhouette with the girl in the bikini. The strings are the final touch.
