The Smallmouth Bass A Champion Fighter and My Favorite

My favorite kind of fish to catch is the Smallmouth bass. This was a difficult decision for me to make because of my love for Largemouth Bass as well. The reason I choose the Smallmouth bass is because of the fight they put up. I enjoy watching the fish take flight out of the water almost like they have wings. The color of the Smallmouth is amazing as well I it varies depending on where you catch them. In the rivers the have a light blue on their belly…

Anglers, Organizations, Fathers Giving Back Showing The Love

As an avid angler I enjoy every minute of fishing I can get in. But often when I am fishing I asked myself how did I pick up this obsession? How has fishing become such a big part of my life and why do I get so excited every time I wake up before dusk and head out to my favorite spot? Then I realized it came from my father teaching my brother and myself how to fish, spending countless hours on the water showing us the best tactics to catch fish, and how to take the fish off the hook. He…

New Top Water Bait Taking The Fishing World By Surprise

New Top Water Bait Taking The Fishing World By Surprise

It is not often that you find a bait that changes the way you fish but recently I discovered one. As a life long angler I have often struggled to feel confidence in using topwater baits, it was just boring and I had little luck. When I did get a strike I often over jerked sending the bait flying in the air barley missing my head as it flew by.

Congrats Wade!!! Winner Of The Funniest Fishing Story!!!

Scott’s Big Fish.

On July 29, 1990 Phoenix reached its Record high temperature of 122 degrees Farenheit. On that day myself and my best friend was in a motorcycle accident during rush hour on US 60 near Tempe Ariz. I came out unscathed. But unfortunately for Scott he had 2 broken hands, both arms and wrists were broken in several places, not to mention road rash on his back and legs that was literally cooking on the pavement. You ask how that is funny and what does it have to do with…

The fish are moving up in a big way.

Tuesday The bite was slow. It just seemed to be one of those days where you had a bite here or two here and a bite there. Never really caught any big fish but the what we caught came on a trap and a jig.

On Wednesday I fished a half day and we still didn't get alot of bites but they were the right ones. We could have had over 20 lbs easy and every fish came on a jig.

On Thursday I had one of the worst days I have had in a month. We fished deep, shallow and everywhere in… Continue

Why Care About Water? - It Is Shocking How Much Water You Actually Use In A Day!

-

donthogthewater Every Drop Counts!

We live in a watery world, with the average American lifestyle fueled by nearly 2,000 gallons of H2O a day.

What may come as a surprise is that very little of that—only five percent—runs through toilets, taps, and garden hoses at home. Nearly 95 percent of your water footprint is hidden in the food you eat, energy you use, products you buy, and services you rely on.

Find out your water footprint, then pledge to dry it…

Kayak Fishing - Choosing a Watercraft

I do a lot of kayak fishing in various rivers in the southeast and I have always gone back and forth about types of watercraft are best for fishing and in particular river fishing. I know that I've chatted with many of you on this topic recently so when I saw this article I thought it was worth sharing. Enjoy!

Choosing A Watercraft:

This answer to this question is a little more complicated because there are so many different types of rivers, but I will…
