I WANNA GO FISHING!!!

So why aren't I? I'm stuck in university land where there is still school.... Unfortunately my school went on strike for three months, thus forcing the students to pursue schooling into the summer months.. lets not talk about the repercussions!

So I'm finished school tomorrow... finally! I'll have more time to go out on the water!

Ever get that nervous/anxious feeling before you get out on the water? I have that right now, knowing that I'll… Continue

Here is his page if you would like to do the same.

PLAYING HOOKIE FROM WORK TO GO FISHING

Well I played hookie from work to go fishing today. Now be honest, how many of you have done this? I did'nt get out on the water untill about 3:00 pm. At first the fishing was alittle slow with only a few pickerel and a couple of lost fish that I never got to see. It was'nt like Memorial Day where the fishing was fantastic from the first cast to the last.(see : Fishing On Memorial Day ) It did'nt take me long to go searching for some better fish, which I found in about 4-5 ft. of water in the… Continue

Hi. If you want to go into a fun, low key fishing derby, try entering the 2009 CFPS Chantry Chinook Classic Fishing Derby that is centred around Port Elgin, Southampton, Pike's Bay and Kincardine on the Canadian side of Lake Huron. It is the 26th annual derby and runs from July 25 to August 8, 2009. Entry fee is $25.00 per person and $55.00 per family, I think.

Memorial Day Bass Fishing May 2009

What an incredable day of fishing!!! the conditions were perfect, overcast sky, slight breeze, and a cold front on it's way for the following day. I caught 25 bass and probably 12 really big pickerel. The bass were off the beds and roaming around the lake. Mostly males but alot of females are starting to feed now as well after a long winter and stressfull spawn. I caught a 7-8 pounder on a bass pattern rattle trap in about 8 ft. of water. All of my fish came off an old road bed that runs width… Continue

If you are a big fan of fishing or maybe even collecting Rapala lures, then I invite you all to come on over and pay RapalaNation.com a visit!

About five years or so ago, I began to think to myself, "We all know Rapala lures catch fish - but what if the fish have 'gotten wise' to Rapala lures, and have maybe even gotten a little gun-shy?"

What about the possibility of throwing a Rapala… Continue

Long Lake : A sucess !

Met "The Boys" and hit the water at 0800. Once settled we started catching fish right away. Nice 12 + inch Bows and a couple small bass. Trolling wedding rings nice and slow. My nephew Nate reeled in more fish than he is years old. It was cool to watch him "guard" the livewell and whisper to them through the lid. His daddy got skunked but we were glad he came along. Uncle Paul and his Son Nick ( our hosts so to speak ) caught the biggest and most fish from the back of the boat. Paul let little… Continue
