Bass fishing can be simple with just a worm on the end of the line. You can take about any pole, a bobber and different baits out on the lake and have a pretty good chance of catching small mouth bass. If you want more of a game, you can go after large mouth and try different methods for catching sneaky bass.
Like other fish, bass will look for shelter to hide in and then they’ll sneak out to feed. Fish along any changes in the bottom. In a manmade lake, even try fishing by small…Continue

Trout is a delicate tasting meat and a fun fish to catch. You can fish for trout in manmade lakes and high mountain streams with different techniques of course. Let’s start with fishing with a spinning rod. Fishing for trout in any water requires a light touch. By this I mean use a light fishing rod and line. The light rod allows you to feel a bite, and the light line won’t disturb the water as much as scare off your fish. I often choose 6 pound test line. Attach this to a 3-way swivel so…Continue

Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, will be New Jersey's Free Fishing Days in 2011. Free Fishing Days are held annually in conjunction with National Fishing and Boating Week, and on these days anyone may fish the Garden State’s public waters without a license or trout stamp. All other regulations, including size and daily catch limits, remain in effect. Anglers should also…Continue

Folks this blog is about people that have no respect for You or other fishermen. I guide on Fayette County Reservoir and had taken some Customers out for a half day of fishing when this happened and I post these pictures with the intent to shame these individuals so that maybe they will be more considerate of other fishermen and this is what happened.…Continue
I took Pete S, and his friend Tom out for a half day trip. We put in at Oak Thicket at 5:30am and with the blessings of a full moon We headed to the South end of the lake. We started fishing a grass line in 4-6ft of water with trick worms and started catching fish at a pretty steady rate. You can read the rest of my Blog at:…Continue

Im wondering if anyone out there has good experience catching giant catfish of any kind?
We have great luck using chicken liver on liverhooks and treble hooks but they are smaller fish. Using pan fish has worked a few times but if Im gonna sit there all day waiting id rather throw them on a jug. Any tips make sure to list hook type size and bait.

Well my time here at Maumee Ohio for the Walleye Run is comming to an end, The cold weather front snapped us back a bit, this year, but eventully some good numbers were out there. The maumee is very shallow, and very muddy. So if you plan on making the trip next year, I recomend a using Carolina Jig with neon colored biat. Best jigging off the bottom about a foot. that is a good strike zone for walleye here. Well as the Walleye run is passing, So is my Business here in Toledo, Next stop is…Continue

I Enjoyed your Artice vey much. It was very informative, and well written.
I too am "hooked" on the Dance of Billy Bad bass.
As time has showed me, the Bass is not only A aggresive Peditor, he is also a particular one.
One minute he will want top water baits, the next hour or two as the weather changes,
it will change to Jigs, Spinners, Divers ect, the next hour you couldn't get him to strike if your life
depended on it. As for top…
