Picante Sportfishing Fishing Report - June 14th. to June 21st. 2010


With summer approaching and the warmer water making it’s way towards the Baja peninsula we caught more Striped Marlin this week then were caught the last 2 months. Marlin were caught all around the peninsula from the San Jaime Bank to the 1150 Spot.

What Can You Do About The Disaster In The Gulf

Due to British Petroleum’s negligence we are now facing the worst ecological disaster in American history that is expected to have far reaching effects as the oil continues to spew and spread from the Gulf. Veterans Fishing Derby

Had a great time today helping out at the veterans home with their fishing derby.The vets had a great time catching fish and getting outdoors then ofcourse having the fish dinner after the fishing.It was great watching the faces on some of the vets catching the fish and bringing them in.For some of them this is the only fishing they get.They have three derbys a year.one in May,June and Sept.If you ever get a chance to help out,go for it.Its very rewarding.They put there life on the line for… Continue

The slippery snapper story!

After over two weeks of being on vacation and not even touching a fishing pole, I thought I was getting that old fishing disease I call "Fish-i-wanna". So I did the next best thing, hooked up the boat, took some frozen shrimp out and tossed them into the bait bucket with some water to start thawing them out.

Thought I'd better leave the house early since the weather was calling for the temps to be in the mid to upper 90's today.…
