Well, another great season in Boca Grande has come and gone. I had an unbelievable time and based on the smiles on their faces, my clients did as well. I lost count of the # of fish we caught including a handful pushing the 200 mark. Boca Grande is an experience in itself and if you have any interest in seeing what it is all about,… Continue

It sure was good to get back out on the water after taking Tuesday-Wednesday and Thursday to move again. That is the one thing I hate more than when the fish aren't biting. Back to within 15 minutes of the lake Rosberry or Waterfront. That is awesome. Sure makes the job of fishing Guntersville a lot easier in servicing the needs of clients.
The deep bite is still really good but it seems that with all the clouds the fish have scattered out a little. A couple places are still stacked… Continue

My buddy and I went fishing at a friend from works private pond. When I say pond I mean pond...not quite as big as a softball diamond's infield. The lady needed us to catch catfish because they are stirring up to much mud and the water is super murky. When we first saw the pond we were sure it would be like shootin fish in a barrel. Oh boy were we wrong. We stayed from 7pm-1am and never got a bite. I used two worms, lost my first one on a stick.
My buddy switched out chicken livers on… Continue

One of our members has been fighting cancer for a while and had to go back into the hosp. today to start the first of ten radiation treatments.Hes having a hard time walking and they have him on oxygen to help his breathing.Hopefully things will get better.I would appreciate it if our fellow fishermen could take a minute and say a prayer for him. Thanks

I have never been so hurt in all my life. I love the outdoors and fishing for the fun of it. The politicians of the city of Gary Indiana are monsters and I would hope the federal government stops the Marquette Plan before the city of Gary puts it's plan of action into full swing riddled with artifices to defraud the fisherman of the tax dollars from the Sport Fishing & Restoration Act.
We have 22 miles of lake front with mammoth concrete piers and break walls that we use… Continue

The big fish are on THE PROWL. The clients and myself have seen several fish in the 7 to 8 lb range. We have been catching fish on crankbaits, swimbaits, football jigs, and spoons the best. Everyday is different though and you just need to find out want they want for that day. One day the crankbait is best and the next… Continue

The last week has been really hot. Numbers are high and the big fish are on the prowl. Crankbaits, spoons, swimbaits, are the main deal for me and the clients. Yesterday I have to say was one of the funnest days I have had. I fished with a 10 and 12 year old who just wanted to catch fish. We probably caught a 100… Continue

Today I fished aboard the Apollo with friends from a fishing club that Larry and I belong to. The boat left the dock at 10PM last night and headed to Santa Rosa Island. The day before Larry and I had been to the same island for a filming fishing trip for my TV show, yesterday we fished aboard the Pacific… Continue

Another AWESOME!! weekend in Boca Grande with a PTTS Double Header!
We started this weekend off pre-fishing ‘practicing’ on Saturday and had a tough day. Rougher than normal seas caused our team to miss four fish but they got the ‘feel’ for the bite none the less and we were excited going into Sunday for tournaments 3 and 4.
The morning tournament (7am-10am) started with a few boats hooking up but most boats, us included, were having a hard time getting bit. We… Continue

The last few weeks have been pretty hectic. I have been running full days and have had 9 days where I added a half day in the evenings after already fishing a full day. So That's why you haven't seen any reports from me.
The best bite going right now is the deep bite. There are some pretty big schools running around out there. Big worms, spoons, crankbaits, jigs and rigs, fish head spinners. Whatever it takes to get them going. When they are going good it is nothing to see 10 3 lbers… Continue
