Curt Staley's Pro Guide Service / Fishing Report

Fishing is still good on the big G. We have been catching some really good fish here lately but timing is everything. You can hit one spot 2 or 3 times and nothing much happens and then you pull up and catch 25 pounds in 30 minutes.

Football jigs are hot and big worms are working to. Current is playing a big role in the day right now , It’s like a light switchfor them. The water color is improving daily since the winds have died and the crankbait bite has picked up in the last few days…

Southern California Fishing

Hey everyone!

How is the fishing at your favorite fishing holes in SoCal? I frequent Fulmor and Hemet lake in riverside county where the bass and trout action is AMAZING! both lakes are stocked every two weeks with Rainbow Trout by DFG with many natural grown fish as well! Trout range in size from about 1lb to about 2.5lbs, a little on the small side, but I've never not limited on a couple hours fishing at either lake. Kona Charter Fishing - Blind Ahi Strike

Long Ranger Hooks Up!

The day started out great with some excitement as a small Mahi Mahi was caught just outside the harbor.  The fight was perfect for these keiki and a great introduction to charter fishing in Kona.  Once the Mahi was safely onboard, and dinner was secured Captain Lance set a course for some bigger fish.  On his way out to F Buoy, Lance spotted an Iwa bird, meaning "thief" in hawaiian.
