the bite is on fire and grass beds are key

Fishing has been pretty hot here lately and tons of fun. Some days they will eat topwater all day long but the next they won’t even touch it. We are also catching fish on spinnerbaits, swimbaits, flukes , flipping, big worms and just about anything you fish you can catch them on. The last two days I fished with the same two guys a father and son and we boated over 100 fish . Everyday each person will find his own bait that works best for them. Yesterday we got around a group and every time…

still some big schools out dee and the flippin bite is on strong

The lack of reports the last two weeks is due to our little MiFi - wifi internet device being lost and isn’t from lack of being on the water. The last few weeks I have been covered up and while we have had a few tough days most days have been awesome. The numbers have been really good and the size is there, it just takes a little current and getting the school fired up to have a pretty awesome time. If there is no current the bite is pretty non-existant and it feels like the dead sea out…

Table Rock June 1

got on the water around 3PM, started out great with a fish on the first cast with a buzz bait, an hour later I was still looking for my next bite, switched to pitching a jig to brush and caught a 3 pounder but once again fished for another hour without a bite, switched to a Zell pop and caught two more good keepers, another 3 pounder and a two pounder, for the afternoon 3 short fish and 3 quality fish, about 8lbs for the three keepers, returned the fish to the lake and headed home

Fishing the past week has been really hot. A few days the schools were on fire and we had really good numbers of 60 to 80 fish per day and on those really good days we were having 20 to 30 fish a day over 4 pounds. On a few other days the schools were not as active and you really had to work them to catch them and the numbers were lower and around 25 to 30. On the days when the schools are really hot they will come t…
