Went to Fairfield Friday night. Fish were surfacing like sandbass. Had a little trouble getting them to bite on the normal lures but found out what they wanted then would get hit instantly. Caught non-stop until about 1:00 then set anchor and slept in the boat---I need a bigger boat! A 17 ft boat doesnt have many areas that are comfortable to sleep at. Got about 2 hours of sleep and started hitting it up again. Stopped about 9:00 and decided to go home--wrist sore and very tired. Caught…Continue

I got the chance to go to Punta Gorda, Florida and fish with 2 of our guides with my buddy Scott. We had the opportunity to fish for 3 days and catch some really nice fish. After doing a show with the Outdoor Channel last year, I just had to get back. We caught some Tarpon, Jack Crevelle, Snook, Reds, Sea Trout, Grouper and many other fish. What a great adventure and some the the best guides in Florida, Capt.Rhett Morris and Ryan McGee. Book your charters with big Mikes and you can find…Continue

The Big Halibut and White Seabass just continue to bite and with no Tuna around so far this year, it is just great. It is really exciting to see all the people and big fish being caught. The California Halibut record has been broken 3 times this year and the new pending record is 67.2lbs. I got to fish with Capt. Bob on the Seabiscuit again for some great fish and wonderful company with good friends.

I got the opportunity to fish the Western Outdoors Channel Islands shootout the other day, and we caught a lot of Barricuda, and there was some big game fish caught. There was 3 Seabass and 2 really nice halibut. It was a great day to be on the water, and special thanks to Ben Babbit for putting this together, and Capt. Bob on the Seabiscuit for another great adventure.

We are so Blessed to live in a country where we are free and able to enjoy the many gifts God has given us. Take a moment while you are on the water this weekend to remember those who have faught and are fighting for what we so often take for granted. Be Safe and take a kid with you!
