During a three day excursion in upper Tampa Bay

River Monster: A Prehistoric fish story!

We were already camping at one of our favorite parks, so our kayak was on the ground and ready to take out for a morning fishing trip.

got a late start but was'nt too bad. recent cold front made it real nice, just started to warm up. launched my carolina skiff around 9:30 am but only a short run to my first hole. managed a few small reds and one slot red(20" or longer). moved up the ICW to an entrance to a large drain. again some smaller reds and trout, with another slot red (21") and one 23" 7.5 # red. stayed there most of the day catching reds and trout. moved to my favorite late afternoon hole, at turtle cove. more of same… Continue

Fayette County Texas 10-7-10

Well got to the lake around 6am and sat there waiting on Scotta who never showed he said he would call (never Did) so at 6:30 I pulled out and went over to catch some fish tried chunking a topwater bait, them fish said NO!!! So I whipped out my white zero and started catching some fish after I had caught a few I got a backlash, now I am about 30 yards from where I was catching fish and this other boat an aluminum Bass tracker 16' with 3 people in it that had been on the other side of the point… Continue

Fayette County Tx 9-29-10

Well first cold front of the year finally got here and after putting about 2 grand into the motor, I was not going to miss out! Got to the lake around 6am had some moonlight so I was hoping for some good topwater action.
