FALL BASS.

Hey Fishing Fans.....Check out this awesome question I was asked by a friend of mine. R.J. Lanoie.

What do you think??? Lets hear it!

Here's a question for you Andy. In your opinion, Fall bass. . . There are all common " laws " for bass fishing that apply all year round, temperature, pressure, spawn etc that help figure out patterns or where some bass might be. Summer time. . . most people avoid fishing peak sun hours because its so hot and bright,…

The Most Relaxing Past Time

I've been fishing since I was 5 years old. My first brush with nature and with freshwater fishes was during my first fishing trip with my dad. During that first time, as a kid, I hated waking up real early in the morning and then travelling down the interstate to the nearest fishing spot.

Unlike other kids who lived in the suburbs, my dad wanted me to experience everything nature had to offer. That was also the only weekend that I'd miss watching Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja… Continue

Expensive day at the lake

My dad, a friend and myself headed out to the lake not getting in a hurry because we didn't want to be uncomfortable letting the sun come up a bit. Not a cloud in the sky. Fishing reports where good. While we have an older boat, earlier this summer we purchased a new trailer and it has only been to the lake but just a handfull of times. Lake Greenwood is at 97% of full pool. We headed out to our favorite boat ramp. I commented to my dad that we had never had to back in so far to get the boat… Continue

Ike

I had the opportunity to meet this guy a little over a year ago. It was right after he was DQ'ed in a tourny for failing to turn on his live well.

At a boat show here at the Raleigh Fairgrounds, there was a Bass tank with the front of a Triton Bass boat mounted at the top of one end.…

Fishing Knots

Ok, I'm making this post for all of you beginner or novice fishermen (and women) that need a little help with their knots.

I'm going to guess that there's a few seasoned folks out there too that could use a little brushing up on their knot knowledge. We've all been in a boat with a buddy before and been too afraid to ask for knot help.

For those of us that live in the north, this is actually one thing we can do at home to practice and get ready for… Continue

Catch and Release

I have the photo above posted on my page. A bunch of dead Largemouth Bass on a stringer. Not surprisingly, I have been very happy with the response.

ALL NEGATIVE! Negative feedback is what I was hoping for. Bass fishing is a great outdoor activity/sport but conservation is paramount! We all need to do our part in conserving the fish population in our lakes, ponds, rivers etc...
